Michelle O'Malley
B.Phyt,. APC C&WHP

Michelle was the senior women's health physiotherapist at the Gold Coast Hospital until 1998, when she moved into private practice. She has continued to develop her expertise as both an educator and clinician in this important and expanding specialty area. Motherhood further convinced Michelle of the need for specific physiotherapy care across the broad spectrum of women's health. She regularly attends professional development events and brings to the practice particular expertise in the management of lymphoedema and pelvic floor dysfunction. In 2008, Michelle became a titled member of the APA Continence and Women's Health Group. This title was awarded to her by the physiotherapy profession in recognition of her significant experience and expertise in the field of Continence and Women's Health.

Jenny Nucifora
B.App.Sci.-Phty., M.Phty.St.

Jenny graduated in 1984 and has worked as a physiotherapist in both the public and private health systems in Australia and the UK. Her first love was for sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. She has worked and travelled with many sporting teams, including the Australian Women's Wheelchair Basketball team, who were the silver medallists at the Sydney Paralympics in 2000. In 1995, Jenny completed her Masters of Physiotherapy Studies-Manipulative Physiotherapy. As a specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapist, Jenny offers comprehensive management programs for musculoskeletal conditions, particularly those associated with the child-bearing years. As a passionate advocate for the development of this specialty area within physiotherapy, Jenny continually expands her knowledge with professional development and is a valued member of the Australian Physiotherapy National Women's Health committee. She has extensive experience in the management of all women's health problems.

In December 2016, Jenny accepted an exciting new part time position at the Robina Hospital. She is the lead physiotherapist in a new Pelvic Health clinic which is part of the expanding Urogynaecology team.

Andrea Baker

Andrea commenced working with Focus on Women Physiotherapy in November 2016.

Andrea completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at LaTrobe University, Victoria in 2005. Since then, she has followed her interest in Women’s Health, completing her Postgraduate Certificate in Continence and Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy in 2008 at the University of Melbourne.

Her experience in Women’s Health has included clinical work in both public and private acute hospital wards, outpatient clinics, pre and postnatal exercise classes, private practice work as well as teaching women’s health related subjects to final year students at LaTrobe University.
