Pelvic floor problems

People with pelvic floor disorders may experience: Urinary problems, such as an urgent need to urinate, painful urination or incomplete emptying of their bladder. Constipation, straining or pain during bowel movements. Pain or pressure in the vagina or rectum.

 

The physiotherapists at Focus On Women can assist with all the following:

• management of incontinence
• waterworks problems (urgency & frequency)
• pre- and post-operative exercise education
• treatment of pelvic pain
• management of pelvic organ prolapse (lump or pressure in the vagina)
Men can have pelvic floor dysfunction too. Often requiring pre and post Prostate surgery assessment and advice.
